Preparing for your AGM

Annual General Meetings (AGMs) are a major event in the diary of incorporated NFP associations. In addition to being a legal requirement, AGMs also present the opportunity to connect with members and share your successes. AGMs are where new committee members are elected, financials are presented, and annual reports are launched. Like with any other event, the success of the AGM relies on good preparation and careful planning.

With AGM season fast approaching, this short workshop will provide a guide to planning and running AGMs.

It will cover essentials, such as giving proper notice and holding AGMs using technology. Our top tip is to have a look at your constitution: all (most) answers are to be found there!

We will provide tips for streamlining the process, and there will also be the opportunity to share ideas and ask questions.

This session is for anyone involved in the AGM process - and we especially encourage committee members to join in.
