Writing Your Annual Report

Writing Your Annual Report

The annual report shows the work an organisation has done each financial year to drive its mission, deliver services, and make an impact. It is a snapshot of significant changes, initiatives, and relationships, and reflections on the preceding year from key people (usually the CEO, Chairperson, and Treasurer). The annual report will also offer insight into how the organisation has performed financially, including any major grants or contracts that it may have delivered on.

For most incorporated associations, presenting their annual report at their Annual General Meeting is a requirement. It is a great way to connect with members and keep them engaged with your Centre. Annual reports may also be required by funders and can be a great marketing tool.

This session will aim to simplify the process of putting together an annual report, and will cover:

  • What is an annual report
  • What should the annual report include
  • How to set up a simple template
  • How many pictures is too many pictures
