Exploring the Key Elements of a Child Safe and Wellbeing Policy
CONTENT WARNING: Please note that the content in the webinar discusses child abuse, including sexual abuse, which may be distressing or triggering for some participants.
A Child Safe and Wellbeing Policy is a foundation document that helps organisations create safer environments for children and young people. It provides a framework for embedding child safety and wellbeing into everyday practice and supports the implementation of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. This practical webinar will explore the key elements of an effective policy, common gaps and how policies can support a culture of safety, inclusion, participation and accountability. Participants will gain practical tools and resources to support implementation within their organisation.
PLEASE NOTE This webinar will not provide an overview of the National Principles. If you haven’t yet completed any training, please view the pre-recorded Foundational Capacity Building webinar on https://www.wacoss.org.au/wa-child-safe-project/
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This webinar is ideal for board members, CEOs, managers, policy officers, developers and staff responsible for child safe practices.
