Neighbourhood Centre Week Grants
Neighbourhood Centre Week (NCW) is celebrated annually across Australia in the second full week of May. It is an initiative of Australian Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association (ANHCA) .
In 2026, Neighbourhood Centre Week takes place 11–17 May. This year the theme is 'Your Place to Connect', highlighting how over 1,000 Centres across the country provide welcoming spaces where everyone can come together, share experiences, learn, and support one another. As part of Neighbourhood Centre Week 2026, Neighbourhood and Community Resource Centres are encouraged to host local lunches that bring people together to connect and celebrate community. Collectively we aim to host Australia's largest ever community lunch! Together, we will showcase the scale and impact of community led connection across Australia and celebrate the vital role Centres play in strengthening local communities.
Join this national initiative by making your Centre a ‘place to connect’ in NC Week by hosting a community lunch.
Thanks to the generous support of Mr Richard Lockwood, Linkwest is able to support 25 member Centres in regional WA, plus 10 member Centres in the Perth metro area, with small grants of $1000 inclusive of gst.
Grants can be used to cover any costs associated with hosting a community lunch during the week 11-17 May 2026. It does not need to be a new event and can support or enhance any community lunch activities you already have scheduled in that week. Payment is subject to receipt of a brief acquittal report including photos from your lunch, stories of connection and numbers of people in attendance. We will not need receipts.
All current full NC Members and CRC Package holders are eligible to apply.
The application timeline is short, but the process is simple! Please return your application by 5pm Thursday 16 April. Successful applicants will be notified by 5pm Wednesday 22 April.
Join us for an information and idea sharing session on Tuesday 14 April to walk you through the application process and spark ideas for your community lunch event.
